Unless the property belongs to an absentee owner, wouldnt this toss away the anonymity?

Fellow CT investors, what legal entities do you typically use (primarily for asset protection, but also anonymity) for the following?

This allows us to look at the more anonymous average cost *per unit*. 

That said, I'm with you and hold things similarly, to at least make them work a little.Bigger picture, I'd argue that protecting our privacy isn't about creating anonymity - it's the opposite.

@John UnderwoodI differ with your above comment from the anonymous "pro".The best book that I have read on the subject is "The Self Directed IRA Handbook" by Mat Sorensen. 

What I do know, for anyone else out there who may be going through a difficult situation right now, including this investor who shall remain anonymous, is that if you remain diligent and maintain faith in yourself and persevere, you too will overcome your greatest challenges, whether in real estate or any other industry, and come out on top with a great testimony and amazing tools and experience with which to help others succeed, avoid pain and shortcut their journey to success.

The access to the property, a tiny country lane, is owned by an anonymous third party. 

If you plan to rent to someone else, then I'd definitely get it into an LLC and talk to a lawyer about how best to approach making it an anonymous LLC.

So long as escrow and title companies allow anonymity, we can expect this nonsense to continue.

I also always recommend setting up an LLC for both liability protection and anonymity.
