Build organic relationships with people who are where you want to be, get as much actual experience as possible as soon as possible, you can intern, try and find a job in the industry or apprenticeship!

:) I will tell you it helps to go to the initial meeting with ALL your documentation organized and ready to share.

Other states with a State Wide group are able to protect their interests way better than a bunch of un organized, non-connected individual groups.

(Though, I think QB does this too, soMight be a moot point).You can produce and customize invoices from it (manage your accounts receivable), manage payables, upload documents (payable invoices, tenant documents, etc)... it's a great system both to keep you organized and to keep your books in order.Needless to say, I'm a fan.

@David D'Errico you might check with the local government offices I have heard of cases where they will buy the supplies if you want to provide volunteer labor.You could organize a community volunteer event to get the job done fast.
