Should I paint my neighbors building

So...... we are rehabbing a house on a street with some nicely updated homes........except one. There is a small apt building at the end of the street that is in need of a paint job. Do you all think we should offer or ask the owner if we can paint the exterior....to help "bring up the neighborhood." It's brick, two story, maybe 60 ft long. Would it be worth it? I haven't got a quote on it yet. Do you think it would improve the appraisal of our house? Has anyone used this strategy before? Louisville, Ky

@David D'Errico you might check with the local government offices I have heard of cases where they will buy the supplies if you want to provide volunteer labor.

You could organize a community volunteer event to get the job done fast.
