Does anyone have suggestions for a software that is scalable and cost effective for us at this stage in our investing career? 

Even though your return may not have complicated items of income or expenses, it takes time to set up a return, gather information, document the supporting info, converse back and forth with the client, postage, printing ink, software, etc. not to mention the liability the CPA is absorbing by signing the return as a paid preparer.

I personally use an HP12c financial calculator and TValue Amortization Software. 

Our CPA and I set up a plan on our transition and I'll integrate them with my management software (Smartsheet) to ensure more seemless integration and automation of tasks.
