There are different ways to skin the cat if you won't have 51%+ occupancy.

A few dollars more or less in monthly payments due to the interest rate will not matter compared to you r possible appreciation and just getting some skin in the game and gaining some knowledge...

However, the idea of them putting skin in the game was unheard to me.That doesn't mean they NEVER do it, but it was never offered to us.
