Any property owner can sell his property to anyone else and as long as both the buyer and seller know that there is a lien outstanding, know the terms of the lien, and understand that the due on sale clause has probably been violated, no illegal, immoral, or 'shady' transaction has occurred.Further, there is no requirement,from a legal perspective, for the buyer to inform a lien holder that a transaction has taken place.
