I often bought homes that needed some work, put 3.5% down, fixed them up, then refinanced them since I had more equity so I could them get a better interest rate or even take some cash out to put down on the next house.Anyways, welcome to the site and good luck getting your feet wet.

Dear Big Pocket community;I own a small rental property in Pflugerville TX and last week the A/C unit started leaking due to poor workmanship as a result the carpet in the adjacent room was found to be soaking wet and in need of replacement.

My education background is in finance and I took a RE Finance course in school, so I follow 95% of what I've read about real estate, but my deal experience is zero so I'm fully aware that I won't know what I don't know until I get my feet wet with a couple of deals.First question: What would you consider today as the best investment options with $100k in cash?

Can be true, but there's are a lot of stipulating factor that will determine pricing, excluding your price of dirt and the wet and dry utilities cost to the structure.
