What does everyone use to perform their own criminal background checks and credit checks on potential tenants during the screening/application process?

Consider carefully and screen them thoroughly (credit, criminal, check paystubs, call their HR manager to verify employment, call previous landlords, etc.)You can conduct some market research by looking on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for similar rooms in the area to see the average price per room for comparable properties.
