For the skeptics who say the region is disjointed and too competitive, this not-for-profit is an attempt to improve the situation.The association has started working with the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau who is recipient of significant sums to hotel tax money to boost tourism and the bureau has pledged to support STR as witnessed by their marketing dashboard on the PoconosMembers of the association value a thriving vacation home rental industry in the Poconos that strengthens the regional economy and maintains the character of vacation home communities and nearby neighborhoods.

The cost/sf number is just a ballpark number contractors use to mentally prepare customers for the real cost of new construction in this day and age.

It scares me this mentality that you are foolish if you don't borrow every cent you can and buy real estate.

Even without evaporative cooling, most people like ceiling fans, and it will likely boost the satisfaction of your tenants- but it IS difficult to calculate.Also, if you got decent (They don't have to be expensive) ceiling fans, they will add attraction to your property.

But as everyone knows so well, sometimes it is a mental game, and I really needed the human connection.

It's not gonna boost your rents by anywhere close to a few hundred a month - maybe 50-100.
