The best bet would be to chat with an experienced attorney who can explain the exposure you face and talk you through the formation and operation of LLCs.

@Monique ODell the realistic way to make this happen is venture capital, betting say 50k on 10 companies and hoping one becomes the next Uber/facebook etc.

I do know homes and home remodeling, so I bet on myself to get the house brought up to above average in the neighborhood for less than the average asking price in the same area.
