You'll make more money and have a more fulfilling career in real estate than buying some dump 1,500 miles away that won't make you enough money to pay your rent for one month down there in South OC.

I have had a successful career in healthcare and intend on pursuing real estate investing. 

I am only 17, already in my freshman year of college but I have been interested in RE for a long time and I am seriously considering dropping out to pursue my dream career.

I have always been interested in real estate investing but have now decided to take it seriously and find a way to make it a career eventually. 

As you can tell, there's more information that I need to collect on my end; however, based on your feedback it appears that Owner financing wouldn't necessarily provide me with any additional advantages while starting my RE career if the terms aren't any better than going the conventional route.  

Having an overall goal or plan for your investing career is great, but don't get sidetracked and spend months doing a plan when you should acquire a property first. 

I haven't started my REI career yet, but just concerned or curious about other investors or flippers in my area taking all of the opportunities before I'm able to even get started.
