I really enjoyed the book and I read it cover to cover (except for skimming the veterans section as it does not apply to me).If you are a total beginner living in an expensive area, it is important to know all of the levers you can pull to secure your first property.

Also, my friends out here enjoy golf, so maybe they've played the course where your model homes were built ^^In addition to the Meetup, I'm also interested in mobile home investing back in the US and I bought my first rental SFR in Jacksonville, FL, all while living and working out here in Korea. 

I would love for this to become a career for myself as I really enjoy taking on tasks and problem solving tough issues.

They had 3 months to close with the agreement that they would vacate immediately if they could not close.As it turns out they have terrible credit and cannot get a mortgage.

I'm in the Long Island, NY area and looking to get into the buy and hold field so that I can enjoy a nice passive income.

I enjoyed it, but enjoyed the thought of real estate investment even more, but just didn't know where to start.

We just got home from a two week 'vacation' in Tucson a couple days ago and are already planning on another trip (without the kids) in a couple months to specifically shop for investment properties.
