I am a homeowner in NY
I need help! I put my house up for sale. First people to see it made me a full price offer. They asked for early occupancy until closing and we settled on a rental amount. We had the legal papers drawn up. They had 3 months to close with the agreement that they would vacate immediately if they could not close.
As it turns out they have terrible credit and cannot get a mortgage. They are still in my house, have stopped paying rent and won't return my phone calls. Now I'm staying in hotels every night & paying the mortgage on a house I can't live in.
