If you didn't, then that a lesson you paid for.If you are talking about the rent payment following closing, and you or your property manager told the tenant where to send their rent check, then I'd serve the tenant a pay or quit notice and put the responsibility of getting their money back from the old property management company or owner on them.If you want to pursue it yourself, then the title company will have good contact information for the seller.
