Such a joint venture would need to be very rigid in nature, and there could be no transactions or exchange of benefit between either party.Both parties would need to purchase an asset jointly on day one.

If you haven't already gotten in touch with a Qualified Intermediary, you may be too late for a 1031 anyway - you can't take any proceeds from the sale of the property or the 1031 is void.

I think inflation will still remain high in Argentina and the peso will continue to deval in the next few years...but, with the upcoming elections in the fall, many are predicting the release of many currency restrictions which prevent firms and individuals from exchanging local currency for USD and remitting back to the states.
