She was happy to do that, and we still have a good relationship to this day.In terms of when to tell the agent, I'd wait until you get your license -- who knows, you could change your mind at some point, and have already scared him away.

I also considered giving a discount to law enforcement officers to reside in the homes as it would keep the other tenant on their best behavior and scare away those who may be out to get over on someone...

I think that would scare me silly with the current economic climate -- one serious scare from Europe, incident with Iran, etc., could literally cut your account in half in a day, even if it bounces back quickly.

Which sounds completely INSANE to me.This works OK for a $40,000 property in a big city 'hood - where you have some chance to rent it for $800 - but for any nice property in a decent area - I just can't imagine pulling it off.However - I'm brand new and clueless and basically completely scared off by the math above.I think a $200,000 house around me is goint to rent for closer to your $2,200 guess - maybe even only $1800?
