This has been a wildly frustrating ordeal, especially given that I went through all the steps to apply for the easement, per the lender's requirement, only for them to deny the loan.

What made the difference in the two experiences, getting denied in the first case and approved in the second?  

Lot rent is like a HOA which often kills cash flow, the tenant pool for trailer rentals is often bottom of the barrel depending on the area, and the homes do not stand up well to tenant abuse.
