However, if I take out a construction loan later down the road, say 5 years, I probably am not going to have more than $10,000 to put on that loan so I’m not sure if this is the best route.

This is my first time filling up a unit and I'm out of state.

We plan to hold this asset for 3-5 years.

Purchased a buildable infill lot for $10,000 in an HOA, with similar lots going for $30,000+.

I'm looking for an answer on this as well. 

Unfortunately, you are stuck with the monthly mortgage insurance.

While the proposal won’t solve housing issues in dense urban areas, it represents a step forward in the fight to make housing more affordable.I agree with @Chris Seveney on this.

With that said, my goal with advance booking is to bring-in a decent amount of revenue during the offseason (winter), but don't want to scare anyone away with a large initial deposit, and of course I'd like to discourage cancellations.
