I was in a similar situation and hated my 9-to-5 job, but once I focused on acquiring sufficient rental property to allow me to leave my job,  The stress of the job actually eased up a bit -  having that long-term goal made it easier to get up and go to work every day because I knew that I wasn't stuck there forever – as it turned out it only took me a few years to acquire enough rental property to pay my bills -  then, leaving a job I hated it was a very very easy decision ...Good luck to you

im so stressed out right now, i have a tri-plex , basement,main, top, my main is all gutted out, and my plan was to redo everything, and rewire will cost me 5500.00 just for the main floor, but im having second thoughts, because half of my basement flooded from a bursted pipe(it was covered by insurance) but on one door it floods a bit everytime its rains hard, is this worth keeping or should i just put sheet rock up and sale it?

Definitely look at comps now, and get a real idea of how much you can rent it out for.I have lived in both, and the biggest stress is your HOA, they set the rules, and you pretty much how no control of costs.. one time I got a bill for $1700 to replace the front porch rails-- would have cost me $200 and I could have done it myself, but because it was a HOA, they had to do it.. stuff like that makes me never want to get a townhouse.
