With taxes, mortgage, and insurance my monthly payment is around $2600/month.My husband and I have been toying with the idea of renting out our current home and using the rental income to offset our mortgage qualification in the debt/income calculation to buy another home.

Don't have expensive hobbies (yet) - plenty of awesome fun you can have for free, and plenty of time for the spendy toys later down the road when you are rich.

It's very hard to spit ball numbers on any type of development project because every town has different restrictions and every site within each town is unique.

I briefly toyed with this idea when renovating a 4 unit.

I find It’s tough scary risky and full of unknowns but it’s rewarding and completely unique .

I continued to buy a few more in later years, each of them is very interesting and unique, maybe stories for another time.

In many cases, they won't be able to share details because they found a unique niche and there is no competition.
