@Nancy MillerYou are in a real mess, and from what I know, this does not sound right all the way around.Your bylaws and CCR set out what and how the board transitions and runs and operates.

If they want to go they are going to but we do not have the same ease of transition in a lease with eviction or cash for key's as our only options and only if they are violating the lease. 

We experience the quick transition from nice to bad neighborhoods in Boston as well, but many of the "bad" neighborhoods are now turning for the better.

You can definitely use this experience to transition into doing your own deals in the future!

We aren't sure in the long run if we will love it up there, if our jobs will transition well or we'd need to return back to SoCal at some point in the next few years.

Based on my maybe one year flipping we are turning our focus to smaller houses in transitioning neighborhoods where we can buy them for 30k and under and be renovated for under 90k. great for rentals, airbnb, or flips. great overall strategy, low debt. but columbus is huge like @Art Mimnaugh lol

I might say transition from self taught, to learning via others… being around a higher volume of deals and real estate transactions is a good next step.
