It would feel a bit shady, like I was trying to put lipstick on a pig.I've had some trouble with finishes coming off inside the drawers where packing tape was attached and pulled off.

For tenants, I don't like that Section 8 tenants don't have the expendable income my other tenants seem to have, and mine tended to duct tape and spray foam everything and not tell you about it, even after extended conversations about calling and not repairing anything themselves.

,To expand a little on @John Errico's post, in most cases, a document or item you need - such as a transfer stamp, Certificate of Occupancy, etc. - is required in order for the closing to go forward.

There are other factors to consider as well, such as Solo 401k eligibility, whether your post tax money is now in a Roth IRA (which cannot be transferred to a Solo 401k), etc.
