They think a mtm gives them flexibility, but forget it also gives the landlord flexibility.Inherited tenants can be a problem, because often they will feel they have seniority over the new owner and will test boundaries.

You could certainly present a lower offer, but if this was recently approved there probably wont be too much flexibility.

Now if someone works from home and has that flexibility I can see it work.

This will be much more expensive.Portfolio lenders, usually small local banks, they will be more flexible but may want experience or a prior relationship as a good customer.
