Huiping S. Can I reject a tenant with a service dog in FL?
4 February 2024 | 58 replies
you can only reject him if it is for a reason unrelated to the service dog. and if you do, i suggest you have written criteria standards that you can show, in case he gets upset. tread carefully, because i believe service animals can be a big can of worms. from my understanding, you are allowed to ask for documeted proof, but may not ask what ailment the dog is helping with. i suggest doing more research, before you go any further.none of the above is legal advice. consult an attorney if you are unsure about anything.
