Estimating repairs is a difficult thing I've been doing research on it but there is no exact science. does anyone have any quick idea on how to estimate repairs.my assumptions arebasic bathroom 4500 to 6000kitchen 5000 to 7000Roof 4500 to 7000electrical upgrade  3500 to 5000Hvac 4500 to 6000Windows 200 to 350 a piecere-doing entire plumbing  3500 to 5000Please if you have an better idea people rein in on this, i am new and these are just assumptions

The insurance company bases this tiered cost on the % of Building Replacement Cost insured.In your example, if your duplex is 2,000 sq/ft and the 4 plex is 4,000 sq/ft, then your assumption is correct.

I found a home in Napa at Silverado that I could buy with a simple assumption ( SF was in the tank) it was only 10k down and 10k to transfer the golf membership.I owned at the time my current home in Palo Alto.
