I don't ask for SSN and also personally have never provided/been pressured to provide them myself when I used to rent, and honestly don't want to open up liability for having to keep someone's SSN either.

We are taking a loan out on the LLC with one of us as a personal guarantor; from my understanding, this is a commercial loan. 

A person mentioned this could be due to preventing others from lowballing if the original offer falls through.

Personally, I feel you should start off with understanding what actual reality is.

The person that is paying you, your boss, the homeowner, will send you a 1099 for your services.

This strategy, however, should soften the blow, allowing your move to be a smart financial step and add a personal touch to your investment journey.

I'm a tenant my landlord used to sit outside the house late at night watching the person who lived in the unit next to me to make sure her boyfriend wasn't coming over at night.
