Even if they will allow MF in the zoning district, they might require the property to be completely brought up to code.It might still be worth checking into.

The area is the best school district in town, and right next to the schools.

I would consider myself lucky if I can find a SFH (3b/2bath) below 500k in a good school district.

The school information is purely anecdotal from friends who live in the area and from a friend who is an administrator in the district.  

Delco is a huge county, there is a lot of different neighborhoods and 15 School districts.

I try to get new teachers when they come into town as they get good pay and have basically been pre vetted by the school district. 

I just talked to the zoning person for the district my property is in and he said as long as I get the approval from the neighborhood association I should be good to go.
