If it takes longer for any reason, you have to read what your contract says about it, but you may not have any choice but to let them keep working on it.However, if they have breached ANY other provision in the contract- ghosted the job site without written notification and justification; not followed the scope of work included in the contract; violated any black and white term of the agreement- then maybe you have evidence to claim breach of contract.

It's very easy to go upside down on a property these days--and nobody wants to be the guy (or girl) with $300k into a cashflow negative property that will only sell for $250k.There are better, less less complex and less risky strategies available to beginning investors (e.g.; house hacking)--I'd suggest studying up on those techniques!

Because of their lack of credit history (hers) and previous credit issues (his) I told them within a few minutes that I would not be able to rent to them.They asked if I would consider a co-signer and I said I had never considered doing that before and I would have to think about it and of course it would require the co-signer to have excellent credit.They came back with the young girl's Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentor that has known her since the age of eight.
