I know that everyone is oversold in putting their asset on LLC, but there are some strict rules you have to follow to actually get the desired asset protection. most of the small business dont follow unintentionally.

@Michael Pursell following up on @Charlie MacPherson good comment you also may want to pay attention to the exact wording of this stuff and how its individually interpreted by the various building departments: Accessory Dwelling Unit, In-Law and other terms may mean something slightly different town by town and be treated differently, likewise if you owner occupy or not.

This is purely speculation on my part because I see a ton of investors from Texas going out to Midwest markets like Cleveland, Toledo, Indy, Kansas city etc to get better pricing.Perhaps Texas investors can weigh in on that market.Also if that market does have those prices follow up question; why are you guys from Dallas & Austin coming all the way to the midwest when you've got San Antonio right next door?

If we follow the BRRRR route, we will purchase somewhere between 2-3 homes and will have to go slow vs paying a down payment for multiple homes.
