Anyone in the larger Los Angeles/surrounding areas market who have had luck securing an entry property?

I moved 52 deals last month with the majority of those being multi units throughout and city and the surround counties.

Most people who live in Tulsa were born in Tulsa (or the surrounding communities). 

I want to surround myself with people who have similar goals to me and people I can learn from or with.

I think I can tell a good rental property from a bad one, but I'm really lacking the confidence to make a move.Here's what in my head, in general:I'm located in Ottawa, Ontario, looking to find investment opportunities in the surrounding area.

Biggest takeaways for me are (1) the importance of always running your own numbers and knowing what those numbers mean. (2) Putting aside any pride and surrounding yourself with people who know more than you about specific parts of the process.

Juliet and from your post I am not entirely sure if you are looking to branch out further in towards the metro area, or if you are open to surrounding counties, you could for sure start here.

But on the other hand I would be locking up a good amount of my capital.For the BRRRR it would be great to get some cash flow and recap my money in the near term, but I am a bit concern of buying my first property in a relatively fairway market (as prices in the surroundings of greater LA are pretty high).I am really on the fence and it would be great to get some thoughts or hear about someone’s experience.Thanks,Pedro
