He wants you to do all of the workUnder that arrangement, you'd be able to do twice as many projects which would require twice as much work on your part, but in the end, you'd make exactly as much as if you didn't have a partner.The ONLY way this makes sense is if doing twice as many renovations decreases your risk because it gives you a larger sample.

@Min KimNeither.What you're describing are balance sheet movements that never hit the P&L.e.g. the principal component of a mortgage payment is just a decrease in cash and a corresponding decrease in a liability.

For example if you can only afford a set monthly payment based on your income and if the interest rate on a $400,000 dollar house goes from 3% to 4% it decreases the price a buyer can spend on a house to get the same monthly mortgage rate, to about $355,000.
