As long as you are providing a well maintained home, the rest should all have a strategic business approach to it, not personal.

I imagine the possibility of building some large communal areas (living, dining, kitchen, work out, study/office, playroom) which will be central to some clusters of 2-3 rooms for sleep mainly.

This would allow you to tap into the equity to be able to utilize it, while still maintaining ownership and living in your new home.

I do all the work associated with owning, managing, and maintain the properties.

When I finish school in 2 years my intention is to do this after I get a solid job, similar to your situation..I'm looking to do this in Bradenton, Florida though, I will keep reading and studying but eventually will pull the trigger when the time is right

Well,  the market for rentals and sales in San Diego has being hectic for the last few months, the lack of inventory is creating an increase in prices.Now in regards the rental market, with the obligation for the landlords to keep tenants even if they are not paying (COVID) this maintain the vacancy rate very low that helps the landlords to ask for a higher rate, and with a higher rent the properties will increase in value.With this situation tenants are getting backfired Is this a smart decision to keep from the government?
