Ideally, I would like a traditional duplex for a long-term buy and hold position.This will be our first home purchase so I want to make a solid decision.Duplexes are going very fast in my area with multiple sight unseen offers just hours after posting.

I understand that they do some of their own servicing but I do not think they provide for outside clients.

You'd want to be safe and have 750 hrs of solid hours, such as negotiating, closings, rehab management, dealing with tenants etc.

I understand I dont necceasily need a LLC to get a rental property however since I am a business owner I know there are some benifits like not having it under my personal name and protecting myslef in case of an accident in the rental property, however im not sure if this whole rental idea should be on a whole new LLC as well and not on my small business LLC.

But I have really been trying to get myself to research and understand everything about rentals.
