If you are taking the potential rent and subtracting her current or potential new mortgage payment, that is not a relevant exercise to determine if it is a good investment.There are weekly posts on BP from new members wanting to convert their old primary residence to a rental and, in many cases, it's a bad investment decision and, in all cases, it's limiting (only one property is being analyzed).

Might be making things complicated too soon.Amortization applies to any loan that you pay back with regular monthly payments, so I am using the word wrong when I say no amortization.

Hi,General question about prospective tenant screening for commercial space: If a new applicant comes in, and their business doesn't really have enough history to have a good background picture (e.g. new biz), is using a tenant screening service you'd normally use for regular rental screening a legitimate way to go?
