My theory is that they really don't have a solid grasp on the proper way to do it, i.e. handshake deals, improper tenant screening, etc.

The fact they are complaining online might be an indication the property manager dealt with them properly so be sure to ask the manager for their side of the story.7.

@Micaiah Cormier Nothing wrong with owner financing :) You would just need to use a title company and make sure everything is properly recorded like a real mortgage so you have protection.
