What kind of/how many team members are needed to create a real estate business that can function without its founder?

Not looking for a job or immediate partnership, just an interview where I can say "Hey", and Wow your argyle, gold toe socks off.  

Also, relationships and integrity build the foundation for long and successful partnerships, clients, and tenants

Hello BP,I'm an investor from Miami, FL with some buy-and-hold experience locally as well as investing in one syndicated deal (296-Unit Apartment Complex) in Dallas, TX as a limited partner.My goal for 2017 is to buy at least one mid-size apartment complex in an above-average growth market in partnership with a like minded investor with a passion for value-add multi family investing and syndication.I have extensive education and knowledge about apartment complex investing but no first hand experience yet.

This approach may be easily demonstrated by logic to a seller, bring the property to its best or acceptable utility, instead of simply trying to beat down the sale price, it's a bit of a partnership approach in meeting half way.

I always wanted to avoid trying to put a monetary value on what each person brought to the table in the partnership because that can get ugly.

I find myself contributing if someone is really in a bind or getting/about to get messed over or in hot water with a poor partnership or financing structure.  

You want to make your property safe, clean, appealing, and functional.

There's no substitution for boots on the ground, although I imagine the tax situation could get very complicated, depending on how you structure a partnership.
