We talked last Friday about some of the struggles that she is facing with giving up the free-time and availability with our son and I had mentioned that she could work with me on the business in some form or fashion versus going back to a corporate job ( and the commute that goes along with it).

That could create negative cash flow for you and put you at some risk of non-payment if you let it ride that long.You might also look at hemlane and erentpayments to see if there are any options for you there or even square.

I would then get a 2nd and 3rd opinion for comparison and good old fashioned due diligence.I would also recommend that you speak with at least 2 property management firms to get a good feel for what your rental income should be and how long it would take to rent this property to a qualified tenant.

But don't you remember the 1980s, when people were fleeing New York and were afraid to ride the subways?
