I know we have all heard on BP podcasts and other interviews where successful investors have done this.For example, one BP podcast (anyone remember?)

We are considering buying out an existing LLC (it's a management company, and would add some volume to our own successful property management company).

Would like to know/hear from anyone who has bought tax liens from the city of Chicago, IllinoisFrom my research it's a bid down process starting at 18% and IF successful the home owner has 2.5yrs to pay you your principle and interest.

Did take some time to be successful and find my niche but eventually I did.

Moving forward I went with another HML who was going to partner me with one of their successful borrowers whose apparently a big flipper in the area and he was going to bring the remainder of the money to the table in exchange for a 50/50 split.

Can't negotiate successfully with someone like that.

I always wonder why a person/company that invests in property would sell a successful property...So what I'm looking for is:What information do I need to find out to see if I want to move forward with a contract?
