My preference is to find a property management company that have their own maintenance people on staff and specializes in a smaller area around LAX.

I also do work in Marin so I have gotten to know a lot of the building inspectors and office staff which makes the permit process that much easier :)  I'll have to check that meeting out but one day notice for me is tough to pull together.

Then you have the problem of finding competent staff to work there (impossible because they are all out fishing) and that is all assuming you can find a plot of land not owned by a native corporation which has electricity and public water/sewer.

I have my staff hit the site daily doing basically what you are but good god the savages on that site are out of control lol.
