I have to disagree with Mark, there is virtually no chance you would be held responsible. #1 it is highly unlikely given the amount of the claim that the car owners insurance company would even bother trying to subrogate. #2 Even if they did, again,, unless your tree is dying and they can show some sort of negligence, they will go out there, see the tree is nowhere near the the neighbors car and that'l be the end of it.
