My properties will go to my kids to sell when I pass, they can do what they want with the money, it will be somewhat tax free for them ( PA has an inheritance tax). but to retire, IDK, depending on what you want to do and your life style, PA does have a lot of choices of life styles, the town I invest in is a nice small town, like I have lived in all my life, but don't know if I would retire there.

You have to start somewhere and while I agree the BEST education is doing it, you still need background and general info on the strategy of your choice, know how to speak the lingo, understand contracts, market analysis, etc.That said, there is no one way fits all but the point is, get some basics down (which it sounds like you have started already) and then go after a deal, either on your own or with another investor where you can get on the job training.

@Michael BonannoTurnkey properties are a good choice for new investors but it is important to realize that the majority of the value has already been created, so you will not see massive appreciation.
