I admittingly don'y have years of experience, but from where I've read, rent prices on average have stayed steady or slightly increased year over year, even during to '08 recessions.

I just thought that maybe keeping my house & collecting rent would be a great way to have a steady stream of ongoing income & still allow my daughter to continue renting (and hopefully someday owning) my house.
