The other big issue we run into with old homes is window size, so if you are not putting new siding up and have to stick with old window size(non-standard) it will add quite a lot to your budget, just something to keep in mind.

For local connections I’d recommend checking out the RI Real Estate Investors Group.They meet once a month in person for members and with another virtual meeting each month open to non-members too.I’ve been a member since 2003 and generally found it worthwhile.
