Ask him to show you on paper the difference in how much goes into your pocket if you buy & flip a house in the same year (what is the tax consequence) and have him show you the numbers if you hold on to the property (what is the tax consequence there).

It's just not beneficial for me to manage the property at this point and there arent any reputable PM companies in that area.

Sometimes, the elected  cause unintended consequences but I brought this up and the general feeling is it's better for all if they limit restrictions but in the end it will make it much harder for people on the edge which the elected are willing to trade off.

Is there a tax consequence for those investors you buy out?

I don't want to upset anyone or create a bad reputation for myself.

If you have hired a reputable company, especially one that has extensive training and understanding of how to run a profitable company, these fees are very standard.

Look for a reputable fee developer who understands financial models in your locale. 

Regular, reputable businesses & contractors will see your job is just one of many, peanuts in the grand scheme of business.
