As a property appraiser you'll learn a lot about how RE is really valued and make tremendous contacts.

So, is it useful to take college classes or other formal RE classes if all you really want to do is be an investor?

Have access to the local county RE records, tax records etc....do you think some listing agents or sellers' agents won't want to work with me because I don't have "representation"?

What works for me, is using my real estate investment group for buyers, craigslist, and talk with RE agents in your area.
