If a property owner is unable to manage this lower-priced, less professional contractor and communicate effectively with him/her, then the total cost (financial, emotional, psychological, lost time due to inefficiency, etc.) of the project can be astronomical.

It seems like some people are not great at communicating

Many of the parties involved are seniorly and have difficulty with legal matters and the attorney involved seems to be a poor communicator.

As a broker we deal with a lot of different personalities, unless we know you want a lot of communication, or very little as some want it's a balancing act.

The emphasis here is on personal relationship and clear, documented communication.

In the end, proper communication solved a lot of the issues.

The only party that has the power to sell is the PR, so best to start there, and try and get them engaged is some form of communication about the property. 

There will always be small amounts of communication that are guest specific, but an automated messaging service really helps remove the burden.

Just make sure you clearly communicate what you want out of a property manager so you have it looked after properly.
