You also have to pay someone to that studied for years and years a lot of money to keep in compliance with the stupid code.I prefer to just make sure things make sense without accounting for taxes and figure any additional benefit is marginal upside from there.

Our effort consisted of visiting the site, contacting the City Planning Department, creating hand-drawn site layout options for the land owner to review and select a reasonable direction, some relevant precedent images showing what the site might look like when completed and an illustrative 3D computer study showing the overall project massing and urban form.

And although it may be unusual, my concern is what would happen if they just decided to stop paying and go rent somewhere else. all the lawyes and headache with that would be absurd.also in bankruptcy, I would be in line with all the creditors, so iguess ultimately you have to study their balance sheets and be confident in that manner, correct?

I registered with CoreLogic and downloaded the entire Study that this article references.It is very interesting and directly addresses some of the flipping and fraud questions we have discussed here in other threads.
