My banks require 6 months hold time before you can "cash out". 

Yeah we are our area comes with high competition, I am looking to do flips but also buy and holds interest me , where do you find most of the deals you are looking at ?

This will not hold up in a court of law, as there is "Real Property" involved in the sale.

It's not fun and can cause a little extra work, but ultimately the LLC is the way to go.We now have 5 LLCs to hold different sections of the portfolio each has its own bank accounts, income statement balance sheet.

My husband and I are interested in investing in rental real estate (initially buy and hold) in order to supplement our retirement (which is about 20 years from now). 

Escrow closed with no problems and I now hold title.

My preference is buy & hold opportunities, but ultimately I'm open to all ideas.
