Winter is coming, should I hold out and see if something better comes out when the market starts to slow down?

Plus its a beautiful town, prices seem entirely reasonable, plenty of tourism in summer for hiking, nature, events, etc and the same in winter for skiing, snowmobiling, and the likes.  

In the fall of 2014 when we first started looking all the way through this winter, there was always a good selection of houses to chose from.  

In Illinois, we get harsh and very cold winters (as well as many other states, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, etc, etc).

Yes, other than the rotating winter visitors and the military presence there's a huge agricultural side to the town!

We had a warm winter last year so my plowing bill wasn't too high, but at the same time the grass starting growing earlier, so the lawn care bill has been a bit higher.Hope that helps!

Right now the house does not have a garage and I currently reside in MN where our winters are horrible, but I'm debating whether or not to make the basement into a mother in law suite or add a garage?
