Currently, I live in the Boise / Nampa area in Idaho and am in good position to find a new job.

I scope out a property, write an estimate and negotiate with the contractor to make sure that the policyholder gets back into their home and the insurance company does not get screwed over in the process.As real estate investors we are always wondering if I'm paying the right amount for this job.

Hi -How have others handled it when general contractors have increased the cost after the job was complete without an agreement for additional work.

I did all this while working on my associates degree and working a full time job.

Amazingly I've been able to travel the US and the world while holding a full-time job.

I just changed jobs with a huge pay cut (commute from 1 hour driving to walking 3 blocks - hooray!)

Had a guy call me this morning and said he got a job here. 

I do however have a job lined up for January right after I graduate that will make much more than 3x the mortgage payment.

To answer ALL of you in a nutshell, my dream would be to get a 4-plex, do some lite fix up and rent it out; make nice cash flow.
